About The Cloud Crew CIC
The Cloud Crew CIC is a Tech4Good community that bridges the gap between training/education and paid employment in tech and digital careers. We provide work placements, industry mentoring, and employability support for skilled job seekers. We create work placements by completing digital transformation projects for charities, start‑ups, and SMEs.
As an Events Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in helping our team to deliver well‑organised events that support our mission and the communities we serve.
Role Summary
This is an entry‑level role designed for someone who wants to build real experience in the events profession. You’ll support the day‑to‑day planning, execution and follow-up of both virtual and in-person events. No prior experience is required — just reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
You’ll receive regular mentor check‑ins and supportive guidance throughout.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with the Founder and Marketing Manager to plan, execute and follow-up virtual and in-person events. Tasks which you will be guided to complete may include:
- Finding and booking suitable venues
- Liaising with the venue to arrange suitable equipment and room layout
- Supporting speakers and panellists with logistics, briefs and other information
- Gathering information for the promotion of the events
- Advertising the events on platforms such as Eventbrite and other internal systems
- Managing sign-ups and communications
- Supporting the team with logistics on events day
- Organising catering, if appropriate
- Providing the Marketing Team with appropriate information to be able to promote the event and write up case studies
- Carrying out general administrative tasks to support event coordination
This role is ideal for someone who would like to pursue a career in event management. You’ll report directly into the Founder, who will mentor you during your time with The Cloud Crew. You’ll interact regularly with the Marketing Manager and the Programme Director.

Logistics
- Initial duration: 2 week voluntary, followed by 8-week paid
- Location: Fully remote
- Hours: 16 hours per week, to be delivered within 9.30am – 5pm, Monday - Friday
