The Cloud Crew CIC is a Tech4Good community that bridges the gap between education, training, and paid employment in technology and digital careers. We create meaningful work experience opportunities by delivering digital transformation projects for charities, start-ups, and SMEs while helping aspiring professionals gain real-world skills, confidence, and industry exposure.
We're looking for a confident and creative Social Media Content Creator & Community Ambassador to help us grow our online presence and engage our rapidly expanding community.
Role Summary
Are you confident in front of a camera?
Do you enjoy creating content, going live on social media, and keeping up with the latest trends?
We're looking for someone who can become one of the faces of The Cloud Crew online, helping us showcase our events, opportunities, success stories, and community impact across social media platforms.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in content creation, influencer marketing, social media, events, digital communications, or community management.
You'll receive mentoring, training, and support while building a portfolio of published content and gaining valuable industry experience.
What You'll Do
Working alongside our Marketing Manager, you will:
- Create engaging video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn and X
- Host and participate in live streams across TikTok, Instagram and other platforms
- Conduct short interviews with volunteers, mentors, employers and event attendees
- Capture behind-the-scenes content from projects, webinars and community events
- Write captions, create posts and schedule content
- Identify social media trends and suggest content ideas
Engage with followers and help grow our online community - Edit short-form videos using Canva, CapCut or similar tools
- Promote webinars, hackathons, work placements and community activities
- Track engagement and identify content that performs well
What We're Looking For
We're more interested in personality and potential than formal qualifications.
You may be:
- An aspiring influencer or content creator
- Studied marketing, media, communications or digital content
- Looking to build experience in social media and personal branding
- Passionate about creating engaging content
- Comfortable speaking to camera
- Confident engaging with people online and in person
- Interested in technology, AI, careers or social impact
Essential Skills
Confident presenting on camera
Comfortable appearing in videos and live streams
Strong communication skills
Active user of TikTok, Instagram, X and other social platforms
Creative mindset and willingness to experiment
Reliable and willing to learn
Desirable Experience
Experience running your own social media account
Experience creating TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts
Basic video editing skills
Experience growing a personal brand, creator account or community
Understanding of social media trends and viral content

Logistics
Fully Remote
16 hours per week between 9.30am – 5.00pm Monday–Friday
2-week voluntary placement followed by an 8-week paid placement
