What is a Hackathon ?
A Hackathon is an event that brings together lots of ideas and approaches to create innovative and disruptive concepts. Participants work in teams to produce a product or service. The event is time-boxed and usually the best idea moves forward into production, becoming one of our projects. All Cloud Crew Hackathons are designed to solve challenges within our communities.
Who can attend?
Anyone in The Cloud Crew community is welcome to join a Hackathon. Each Hackathon needs people with strong creative, communication and organisational skills, as well as technical skills. All Hackathons are listed in our private community hub, so please register to receive a log-in.
Most Hackathons are delivered virtually, making it easier for anyone to join.
Benefits of joining a Hackathon
Hackathons help you to develop your creative and collaboration skills, which are in need across the IT sector. You'll also work with people from lots of different organisations, with varied backgrounds, so Hackathons are a great way to extend your industry network.
