We bring together people from all backgrounds to work on hackathons and practical projects. Together, we plan, design, and build technology that helps communities and society. Social impact means the positive effect our work has on people and the wider community.
Our community is inclusive and open to everyone aged 18 and above. Whether you’re starting your career, switching careers, returning to work, retired, or working full-time, you’re welcome to join. All we ask is that you have some skills — technical or professional — and are ready to share them to help others or support organisations.
Most of our volunteer projects run for 4–12 weeks, and you can choose a schedule that fits around your other commitments.
Selected jobseekers are placed in structured teams to work on meaningful projects. You may become a volunteer or a volunteer mentor depending on your level of tech skills.
Participants contribute to technology solutions that create positive social impact.
Volunteers with hands-on tech experience act as technical coaches and mentors. A volunteer mentor is someone who guides, advises, and supports other volunteers or project teams.
Participants develop skills, confidence, and evidence of practical experience.
Depending on your skills and interests, you could be ready for roles such as:
Even if your background isn’t in tech, volunteering gives you hands-on experience working with technology projects, so you can confidently move into entry-level or career-returner roles in tech, marketing, or project delivery.

We believe that by harnessing the collective power of volunteering, we can-
And along the way, we’ll develop our skills, learn new ways of working and make fresh connections.

Whether you'd describe yourself as an experienced technical resource, or if you've just trained to break into a tech career, there is an opportunity for you to give back to your community by delivering tech projects to non-profit organisations. Develop new skills, connections and experience whilst creating social impact. Volunteer for as little as a half-day at a time.

We know that breaking into a tech career takes more than re-skilling. Our mentoring scheme provides an opportunity for more experienced people to mentor those just starting out in their career. The shared insights, discussion and advice helps our less experienced tech professionals to grow in confidence.

Our Hackathons are a great way to get creative with others. Join an event to innovate with a team, solving challenges that exist in our community. Some ideas may turn into a deliverable project opportunity. Our mission is to create an environment where innovation thrives.
