Project Administrator (Paid Work Experience Placement)

Remote | 2‑week voluntary placement, followed by 8-week paid placement

About The Cloud Crew CIC

The Cloud Crew CIC is a Tech4Good community that bridges the gap between training/education and paid employment in tech and digital careers. We provide work placements, industry mentoring, and employability support for skilled job seekers. We create work placements by completing digital transformation projects for charities, start‑ups, and SMEs.

As a Project Administrator, you’ll play a key role in helping our team to deliver well‑organised projects that support our mission and the communities we serve.

Role Summary

This is an entry‑level administrative role designed for someone who wants to build real experience in project coordination, organisation, and communication. You’ll support the day‑to‑day running of digital transformation projects, events, and internal operations. No prior experience is required — just reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

You’ll receive regular mentor check‑ins, digital training, and supportive guidance throughout.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work closely with project leads, mentors, and Junior Consultants to keep projects running smoothly. Tasks may include:

  • Scheduling meetings, taking notes, and tracking action items
  • Updating project plans, task lists, and simple documentation
  • Supporting communication between project teams and clients
  • Preparing basic reports or summaries for internal use
  • Helping maintain accurate records in tools such as spreadsheets and CRM systems
  • Organising shared folders, files, and project resources
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks to support project delivery

This role is ideal for someone who would like to pursue a career in project or programme management. You’ll report directly into the Programme Director, who will mentor you during your time with The Cloud Crew.

What You’ll Learn

  • How digital transformation projects are structured and delivered
  • How to support project teams with organisation, communication, and documentation
  • How to use digital tools for scheduling, tracking, and reporting
  • How to work to a brief and manage deadlines
  • How to collaborate in a supportive, mission‑driven environment
  • How to build confidence in professional communication and client-facing meetings
  • How to work in an Agile environment

Who This Is For

You don’t need previous project or administrative experience. This opportunity is ideal if you are:

  • Exploring a career in project management, operations, administration, or coordination
  • Looking for real work experience to strengthen your CV
  • Someone who enjoys organising, planning, and supporting others
  • Keen to learn, ask questions, and develop new skills
  • Comfortable working remotely and communicating regularly with your mentor
  • Aged 18-21
  • Lives in postcodes CV1 to CV6

We nurture talent — all you need is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to doing your best.
